From a tribute to Loy Mitchell by his son:
Forty years of working with, crying with, rejoicing with, worshiping with these people will do that to you.
There are simply some things you cannot do in a two-week campaign for Christ. This is not to say that no good can come from a brief campaign, but it is to say that countless nights around the sparks of a fire teaching, thousands of Sundays in the open air preaching, thousands of fellowship meals of steaming sadza (thick grits, well, very thick grits) makes you one of the people you serve as missionary. He has become an African because of them, but make no mistake, they have become Christian because of him.
