People often see the work of mission through rose-tinted glasses. They envision new exotic places, new friendships and being able to witness many conversions, but the realities of being a missionary can be far from that. Adoniram Judson’s life as a missionary in Burma was full of sorrow. His life, though, is a testament to how God’s glory can come even through our suffering and how God’s Word will thrive even in the toughest of mission fields.
