You may not be one for Bible movies/TV shows, they certainly can’t be considered canon! Though it can be encouraging and even helpful to have some of the visual media we consume in this day in age, send a message that is in the realm of scripture. For one thing, it gives us a visual, although it is perhaps not completely accurate, it can beat our imagination at times, of the geography and customs of the times. Here is one newer show: The Chosen.

The classic works listed above have helped many build deeper convictions and understanding of the scriptures, but who hasn’t picked up a spiritual book that simply does not compute. “Mere Christianity” for one, requires a laser focus to follow!

Like this guy, let’s practice what we preach! We don’t need to take it SO literally, but there are some places in the word of God where we as Christians ought to take Jesus at his word, and don’t.
